Disney acquires 21st Century Fox Inc.for $52.4 billion in deal announced Thursday. Transaction includes Fox’s film and television studios, cable entertainment networks and international TV businesses, and adds popular entertainment properties including X-Men, Avatar, The Simpsons, FX Networks and National Geographic to Disney’s portfolio.


Target acquires same-day grocery delivery startup Shipt for $550M. The move—”one of the largest acquisitions in Target’s history—means same-day delivery will be an option at about half of Target stores beginning in early 2018. And by the 2018 holiday season, it will be an option at the majority of Target stores, and in all major markets.”
