Funny or Die has tapped a droll troupe of Hollywood talent — Zach Galifianakis, Sarah Silverman, Tracy Morgan, Chloe Moretz, Marisa Tomei and Isaiah Mustafa — to join forces with Bono's anti-poverty group ONE on a new campaign, part of a larger global initiative to reach "the beginning of the end of AIDS" by 2015.
The star-studded video from Funny or Die asks viewers to sign a petition on ONE to reverse proposed budget cuts to the life-saving AIDS program, PEPFAR, and fulfill America’s commitments to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.Continue reading...

Celebrating the upcoming release of Star Wars: The Complete Saga on Blu-ray, George Lucas via his Lucasfilm studio is collaborating with the non-profit Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C) on the aptly titled "Use The Force For Good." Of course, "good" means driving donations to the Stand Up To Cancer website, where all proceeds go to cancer research.
Any celebrities promoting this? Only Aziz Ansari, Zach Galifianakis, Bill Hader, Ed Helms, Ken Jeong, Jaime King, Seth Rogen, Andy Samberg, Emma Stone and even Star Wars alum Samuel L. Jackson. In The Hangover 2, the oddball character Alan (played by Zach Galifianakis) cracks deadpan about how a beautiful Thai resort's seafood is comparable to Long John Silver's, and how it's a shame monkeys cannot use Skype.
What's interesting is that when Galifianakis hosted Saturday Night Live in March, he cracked during his opening monologue that he would be "making an appearance at Long John Silver's" and "babysitting sisters kids via Skype." But there's more. Continue reading...

It's time to play the music, It's time to light the lights, It's time to meet the Muppets, On the Muppet Show tonight!
Starring (and conceived by) Jason Segel (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) and costarring fellow comics Amy Adams and Zach Galifianakis, Disney's upcoming The Muppets Movie is in postproduction but whetting fans' appetites with a mock trailer for Green With Envy, the film's movie-within-a-move, which is trending on YouTube ahead of the real movie's scheduled Thanksgiving (November 23rd) release date. There's even a Facebook page for Green With Envy, while the Muppets' official site offers other goodies such as video shorts and games.
